58% network expansion in 2017 alone
Nearly nine years ago, Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the launch of Amazon CloudFront, its global Content Delivery Network (CDN)
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the juggernaut of online computing, and just last week their CloudFront service reached 100 points of presence by adding the sixth location in Japan, Tokio.
CloudFront is a global content delivery network (CDN) allowing companies to deliver data securely and worldwide.
CloudFront now has a truly global reach; it covers 51 cities across 23 countries, and more locations are planned for 2018. Those 90 Edge Locations and 11 Regional Edge Caches total 101 points of presence because AWS just added a new location in Italy, Palermo.
There is no doubt that Amazon allowed companies like Empire Elements to create, innovate and push forward new ideas. Adding this major milestone is something we celebrate.
Just think about it, the ability to serve your images and data to worldwide users at breakneck speed from 100 locations would sound completely insane only ten years ago.
23 Countries, 50 Cities
Amazon Web Services CloudFront is growing fast globally.
