This is a great opportunity for a full stack PHP developer to work remotely for London based web and mobile app development company. Our clients include tech startups in London, Vienna and Monaco.

The full stack developer will be primarily working on back end of client websites but should have a strong understanding of front end technologies and will get the chance to work with new technologies in both areas to keep our mobile app development company at the forefront of the market.

The full stack developer should be equipped with PHP and ideally Laravel framework, but other frameworks such as Codeigniter, Zend or Symfony would be fine. In terms of front end, the Full Stack Developer should have a good knowledge of JavaScript and ideally React, along with HTML and CSS.

Full stack developer responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain clean back end code
  • Be keen to take the reigns on projects
  • Be a confident communicator and able to work between teams

The successful full stack developer will have experience and advanced skills in the following:

  • PHP
  • Laravel / Symfony / Codeigniter / Zend
  • JavaScript
  • React / Vue / Angular
  • NodeJS
  • AWS
  • HTML
  • CSS

Key requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience (mid to senior level)
  • Ability to take loose requirements and vision and figure out solutions to move the initiative forward
  • Demonstrated experience of working with REST APIs
  • History of working with agile teams and using iterative development
  • Experience with GitHub (regular Pull requests)
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, React etc
  • Experience with back-end programming frameworks such as Laravel
  • Experience with AWS
  • Understanding of container-based technology
  • Working knowledge with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Proficient in using source control and build tools such as Jenkins
  • Understanding of platform patterns - web, iOS, Android
  • Conversational level of English language, collaborative, with an open and approachable style
  • Exceptional time management
  • Working towards deadlines
  • Up to date with the latest development techniques and using these to build web apps
  • Ensuring all work adheres to current industry best practice
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented and able to work in a team
  • Excellent time management
  • Write well documented, maintainable code
